Manager - Search Engine Optimization

Position Summary:
Develop and manage Penske's search engine optimization and search engine marketing (SEO and SEM) strategies. Stay up to date on search engine / industry trends and best practices. Establish processes to proactively find opportunities for keyword expansion and linking campaigns. Monitor and track and report website traffic and search engine changes. Work collaboratively with SEM, Web analytics and design teams to implement our search strategies to improve search engine visibility.We are specifically looking for individuals who have managed large organization (5,000 employee ) search engine strategies. This position is vacant due to an internal promotion of the incumbent.Individuals with proven records managing enterprise SEO strategies, location-based businesses and large online e-commerce website (10MM annual visit) optimization experiences.
Major Responsibilities:
-Develop search strategy (SEO and SEM) for Penske's websites-Develop process for implementing recommendations for website optimization-Lead and drive website optimizations, including site structure, page construction, content, keyword research, and SEO best practices-Work collaboratively with multiple vendors, Penske product lines, marketing and IT teams to implement optimizations and drive efficiencies-Research, identify and develop linking partnerships with authoritative web sites-Monitor search engine trends and shifts and develop strategies to address changes-Evaluate and develop new opportunities for increasing traffic from search engines.-Establish baselines and monitor campaigns for effectiveness and ROI-Report results of SEO efforts and recommendations for changes to improve performance- Monitor and maintain local search presence optimization which includes information accuracy improvements on all local search platforms (Google Maps, Yelp, Yahoo Maps, Yellow Pages, etc.)-Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor

-5-7 years in website marketing / website analytics, campaign tracking and trend analysis required-5 years direct Search Engine Optimization (SEO) experience, knowledge of best practices in Meta optimization, internal link optimization and navigation optimization.-1 year Experience in Mobile SEO- 1 year of Local SEO experience-Bachelor degree required, Masters preferred-Proven Track record of successful SEO strategy development and implementation-Knowledge of website tracking tools such as Omniture,-Strong knowledge of search engine ranking strategies and algorithms.-Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Omniture-Experience in relationship building at high organizational levels along with managing multiple projects utilizing cross-functional teams and supporting organizational leaders required-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
